Another week of on the road recruiting has wrapped up for Penn State’s coaching staff, and while its Class of 2018 is no bigger than it was a week ago, the Lions made steps in the right direction on the trail, and that’s always a plus.
They got some good news from recruits at The Opening Regionals last Sunday, too.
Recruiting, as it always is, will be a feature topic in this edition of the PSU Rewind, which will also dive into Saquon Barkley’s comments to Sports Illustrated about the NFL Draft and the 2017 season and bowl games, a look at the fastest Lions who were timed officially this spring, and some thoughts about where the program is headed as May rolls on.
As a reminder, the Coaches Caravan kicks off tomorrow for lunch in York, where head coach James Franklin will be joined by athletic director Sandy Barbour, men’s gymnastics head coach Randy Jepson, and women’s golf leader Denise St. Pierre.
It’s the first of seven stops between Monday and Thursday that will take Franklin and a few of his colleagues to nearly every part of the Keystone State. Tickets are still available; the full schedule and a link to sign up are below.
