Today’s Philadelphia Eagles links continue to unpack a little more from a thriller in the NFC divisional round.
The Eagles are headed to the NFC Championship Game after beating the Falcons, 15-10. They’ll face either the Minnesota Vikings or the New Orleans Saints in a week at Lincoln Financial Field.
And team owner Jeffrey Lurie felt pretty great about it.
Here’s the 66-year-old Lurie surrounded by a group of the Eagles defensive players and breaking things down:

The Birds are one win away from their first Super Bowl appearance since 2004 — and third ever.
A big reason the Eagles are at this point is the Falcons’ final play of the game, when Jalen Mills broke up a pass intended for Julio Jones in the end zone. Apparently, the Eagles knew it was coming. Safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod identified it, so the defensive line knew exactly where to attack quarterback Matt Ryan to prevent him from setting his feet and finding an open receiver.
“We had good preparation, and everybody knew he was going to [Jones],” defensive end Brandon Graham said. “And, me, I knew [Ryan] was coming my way, so I had to pull him up. I think Nigel pulled him up, and he was just back there and he just kind of flicked it.”
The Eagles’ preparation came through in the biggest spot of the season. The defense turned in a championship-caliber performance. They’ll have their hands full with whoever the Eagles draw next week with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
