Take a sneak peek of the 2017 NFL Draft theater
The NFL Draft doesn’t kick-off on television screens until 8 p.m. on April 27, but you don’t have to wait until then to see its theater.
The NFL held a media preview of the theater, which incorporates part of the famous “Rocky Steps” of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The theater also attempts to replicate the front of that museum with its use of columns (the real museum front is several flights of steps higher than the theater and is open throughout the draft for visitors).
You can see the stage and the ESPN and NFL Network sets in the gallery above. To see a sample of the animations and football highlights that’ll play behind the podium check out the video below:

While the draft itself isn’t until primetime, the NFL Draft Experience begins at noon on April 27. It’s a free fan festival held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and is full of activities and chances to meet NFL players. You can read more about it at the link below.
PennLive will be covering the NFL Draft live from Philadelphia. Be sure to follow the Philadelphia Eagles Facebook page and Pittsburgh Steelers Facebook page for stories about those teams. For all our stories, check out this page.
