Senators outlast Erie in 13-10 offensive showcase
Harrisburg put up a seven spot in the second inning, but still had to hold off a rally from Erie to capture a 13-10 victory in an offensive shootout.
Khayya Norfolk’s three run homer in the second inning propelled the Senator’s seven run onslaught.
After the SeaWolves answered with seven runs of their own in the top of the fourth, Alec Keller hit a three-run double in the fifth inning to spark another huge inning for the home side.
Ryan Brinley recorded his second win of the season after pitching 2.2 innings after starter Mark Blackmar was only able to get through 3.1 innings of work. Wander Suero picked up his fourth save of the season for the Senators after having a perfect ninth inning while striking out one batter.
Santiago Garrido got the loss for the SeaWolves, pitching only three innings while giving up five runs on five hits. Garrido also allowed two home runs. Garrido replaced Tyler Alexander who was only able to get through 1.2 innings of work after giving up six runs on six hits.
The Senators next game is in the friendly confines of FNB Field as they take on Erie in game two of a three game set. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
