Pittsburgh Steelers host three defensive players
The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted three defensive prospects at their facility on Wednesday.
Utah outside linebacker Pita Taumoepenu and Georgia Tech defensive tackles Francis Kallon and Patrick Gamble are all projected as undrafted free agents.
Taumoepenu (6-1, 243) is the No. 29 outside linebacker, according to NFLDraftScout.com. Last season, he finished second on the team with 12 tackles and nine sacks. He also had 34 tackles, nine for a loss, and was an All-Pac 12 honorable mention selection.
Kallon (6-5, 294) and Gamble (6-5, 277) are ranked as the No. 46 and No. 34 defensive tackles, respectively.
Kallon emerged in the Tropical Bowl all-star game, where he was named the overall lineman Most Valuable Player after recording two sacks and a tackle. He started six career games for the Yellow Jackets. Gamble recorded 53 tackles, 10 for a loss, and 7.5 sacks last season for Georgia Tech.
The Steelers have now used 25 of their 30 predraft visits.
