Since Howie Roseman reassumed power over the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster in late 2015, he’s trumpeted a motto about being patient as he aims to build a contender.
The Eagles don’t want Band-Aids at positions of need. They aren’t striving to finish 10-6 every year without postseason success. And they’re working to build around their young quarterback, 24-year-old Carson Wentz.
Roseman has repeated those objectives this offseason, and he’s been steadfast in his sentiment that a slow-and-steady approach will yield long-term success.
But for any of that to work, the Birds need to draft well. That makes the next three days crucial to the franchise.
When the NFL draft begins Thursday in Philadelphia, the Eagles will be vying to add players who can be pieces of a return to powerhouse status — and potentially the team’s first Super Bowl title. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big event.
