Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and receiver DaeSean Hamilton have been selected to All-Bowl teams for their performances in the Fiesta Bowl.
Barkley was an all-purpose pick by ESPN, while Hamilton landed on the Associated Press and the USA Today teams.
The former, a unanimous All-American selection, totaled 137 rushing yards and two touchdowns to go along with seven catches for 38 yards. His 92-yard scoring scamper is now the longest play in Fiesta Bowl history, while Hamilton caught the Lions’ first and last touchdowns as part of his five catch day for 110 yards in a 35-28 win over Washington.
Both are now preparing for the NFL Draft, which Barkley expected to be a top-five pick and Hamilton a day two or three selection.
“I’m happy that we were able to send the seniors off on a good note,” Barkley said following the win.
“I’m just living in the moment and enjoying it and cherish this moment with the seniors especially with guys like Ham. And those guys are so special and I’m so thankful to call those guys my brothers and my teammates.”
