Penn State tied for national lead in most NCAA championships since 2007
Penn State started winning national championships in 1921, and the Lions added another NCAA crown this year. That’s kept them near the top in the country when it comes to winning NCAA titles.
In fact, Penn State’s 19 NCAA Championships since 2007 are tied for the national lead with Oregon, Southern California and Stanford, according to a Penn State release. The 19 titles started with the men’s and women’s fencing team’s championship in March 2007.

The women’s volleyball team is tied with the wrestling team for the most titles in the past 10 years, including winning four straight from 2007-2010. The Lions have won six out of the last 10 NCAA championships. The volleyball team is tied with Stanford for the most all-time titles.
