Penn State commits, and more, react to Micah Parsons’ decommitment
Social media reaction was hot and heavy on Sunday night just minutes after Harrisburg High five-star Micah Parsons officially announced that he was decommitting from Penn State.
The takes mostly fell into two camps, with some reminding fans that prospects have to make the decisions that are best for them and their families, whether program followers like it or not, while the others suggested that the defensive end made a move that was long in the making, for better or worse.
Penn State’s Class of 2018 now stands at 12 members as the Lions netted two commitments between Friday and Sunday; earlier in the week, they lost four-star Chris Bleich to a decommitment before Parsons followed in his footsteps on Sunday night.
On Saturday, though, Penn State landed two pledges, as Stafford Va., four-star Nana Asiedu and Muskegon, Mich., three-star Antwan Reed jumped aboard the program’s Class of 2018.
For now, though, let’s focus on the latest news: Parsons decommitment. Here’s a sampling of the early social media reaction.
