Penn State commit Micah Parsons talks visits, plans to team with Isheem Young
MANHEIM — Harrisburg’s Micah Parsons again showed off his spectacular athleticism Sunday, helping the Battle Playmakers win the East Coast Elite 7v7 passing tournament title at Spooky Nook.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound junior, who is being recruited a defensive back, lined up at receiver, at times, for Battle, and also played linebacker for the team.
Parsons, who is committed to Penn State, said he plans to spend the weekend at Ohio State for its spring game, and also plans to head to State College for the Nittany Lions’ spring game.
He said he doesn’t have any other visits planned.
Saturday, heralded Imhotep Charter safety Isheem Young, a Penn State target, said Parsons was trying to recruit him to join him with the Nittany Lions.
Sunday, Parsons said, there is some truth to that.
“I just talked to him about joining the same program,” he said. “We also have to look at what we like. It’s got to be an even trade, but we are (Central Pennsylvania) guys, and we are looking to take over wherever we go.”
