Norwin High sophomore safety Jayvon Thrift excited about Pitt, West Virginia offers, interested in Penn State
Jayvon Thrift claims offers from West Virginia and Pitt.
Norwin High sophomore safety Jayvon Thrift is a player Penn State fans may want to keep an eye on.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Thrift is the cousin of former Penn State defensive lineman Brenon Thrift.
He already claims offers from West Virginia and Pitt, but, while playing with EVOLVE in the East Coast Elite 7v7 tournament at Spooky Nook Saturday, he sported a Penn State visor.
And, he said, he’s definitely interested in the Nittany Lions.
“We just had a Penn State visit (Saturday),” he said. “I liked it.
“I liked the facilities, the coaching staff and the way they practiced.”
Thrift called his early offers from Pitt and West Virginia “exciting.”
“They like my physicality,” he said. “And they like my closing speed and the way I tackle.”
