NFL Draft 2017: Philadelphia Eagles pick Shelton Gibson measurables, NFL combine numbers, college stats
PHILADELPHIA — Hey, more offense for Carson Wentz on the third day of the NFL draft. The Philadelphia Eagles balanced out their draft class and put some more pieces around their franchise quarterback by previously picking North Carolina wide receiver Mack Hollins and San Diego State running back Donnel Pumphrey earlier in the afternoon.
Gibson is another playmaker who gives the Eagles passing game much more of a vertical threat.
Gibson is the second member of the Eagles draft class from West Virginia — cornerback Rasul Douglas was picked in the third round Friday — and those two selections gives the Birds four former Mountaineers on their roster. Philadelphia picked running back Wendell Smallwood in the draft last year, while linebacker Najee Goode came over to the Eagles from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
