NFL Draft 2017: How the Big Ten fared against the other Power 5 conferences
For the 11th straight year, the SEC led all conferences in the NFL draft with 53 draft picks. How did the rest of the Power Five conferences do? And how did the Big Ten fare? Let’s take a look.
The SEC had 12 players taken in the first round and 30 players taken in the first three rounds. It had almost as many players taken in the first round than the Big 12 had in the entire draft (14).
The ACC had 43 players taken in the draft, including four in the first round. Eleven ACC players were taken in the first three rounds.
