Johnson, Gindl carry Richmond to 5-4 win over Harrisburg
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Caleb Gindl had three hits and two RBI, and Jordan Johnson allowed just three hits over six innings as the Richmond Flying Squirrels beat the Harrisburg Senators 5-4 on Monday.
Cody Hall struck Yadiel Hernandez out with a runner on second to end the game for his first save of the season.
Johnson struck out three and walked one while allowing two runs.
Down 4-2 in the seventh, Harrisburg tied the game when Dan Gamache scored on a ground out and Stephen Perez hit an RBI single.
Richmond answered in the bottom of the inning when Gindl hit an RBI single, scoring Myles Schroder.
Seth Rosin (1-0) got the win in relief while Jimmy Cordero (2-4) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
