How to watch Penn State’s 2017 Blue-White football game: Time, channel, schedule and live stream info
Penn State wraps up its spring football practice this Saturday with its Blue-White spring game, which will kick off at 3 p.m. at Beaver Stadium. The scrimmage represents the Lions’ 15th and final practice of the spring and gives fans their first opportunity to see live football action since the Rose Bowl in January.
Coach James Franklin has tweaked the Blue-White game format with a little more competition in mind. He also has his deepest, most experienced roster since arriving in Happy Valley in 2014 and has an abundance of young talent at every position group. As a result, Franklin’s veterans have had a light spring, to the benefit of young Lions trying to make a mark.
That dynamic will be a central theme in the Blue-White game with spring standouts such as Jonathan Holland, Juwan Johnson and Lamont Wade all on display, in Wade’s case for the very first time. Additional reps in practice all spring should give way to more chances Saturday with Franklin likely to rest his proven veterans.
BTN will broadcast live from Beaver Stadium with Kevin Kugler, Anthony Adams and Matt Millen set to call the action. The game can also be streamed live on the BTN2Go app. A valid cable log-in is required.
