When Always Dreaming lines up at the gate for the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, he’ll be looking to complete the second leg of one of the most illustrious titles in all of sports: the Triple Crown.
Even for the most casual horse racing fans, the thought of a Triple Crown is exciting. After all, only 12 horses in the history of the award have been able to complete all three legs of the award. Before American Pharaoh finished the feet in 2015, it had been 37 years since the last horse had been able to accomplished it.
