Aaron Nola makes rehab start in Lehigh Valley
Aaron Nola, who has been on the DL since April 24, made a rehab start today for the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs as they hosted the Rochester Red Wings.
Pete Mackanin said Nola would throw “up to 60 pitches” in his first rehab start. Nola threw 52 pitches, 37 for strikes, in four innings on the mound. He also gave up one run on four hits and struck out three hitters.
According to CSN Philly and Mackanin, Nola could make one more rehab start before coming back up the the Phillies. This was Nola’s first time pitching since April 20.
