The green flag is scheduled to drop on the 2018 sprint car season in central Pennsylvania with the Ice Breaker 30 on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway. But the season has a lot more top-notch races in store.
Here are 10 races across central Pennsylvania that you won’t want to miss in 2018.
Wednesday, May 16 – Lincoln Speedway – World of Outlaws
This will be the first taste of the World of Outlaws for the PA Posse on their home turf in 2018.
Sunday, May 27 – Port Royal Speedway – Weikert Memorial Finale
The first of some big money races at the Speed Palace in 2018 with $10,000 on the line for the winner.
Saturday, July 21 – Williams Grove Speedway – World of Outlaws Summer Nationals
Can another PA Posse driver capture their first World of Outlaws victory at the Summer Nationals?
Saturday, July 28 – Port Royal Speedway – Living Legends Dream Race ($10,000 to win)
Always an exciting race with $10,000 to win and Port Royal always does a great job paying tribute to one of the great drivers in Central PA.
Sunday, August 26 – BAPS Motor Speedway – All Star Circuit of Champions
Sprint Car racing is always exciting at BAPS Motor Speedway and with the All Stars in town it should be a great show.
Saturday, September 8 – Port Royal Speedway – All Star Circuit of Champions/Tuscarora 50
With $51,000 on the line the field will be stellar, and the racing will be electrifying.
Friday, September 14 – Williams Grove Speedway – Dirt Classic Qualifier
This is the first year a Dirt Classic Qualifier will take place in Central PA. Add on that the Dirt Classic is a week later and we should see an excellent field of Sprint Cars for this one.
Saturday, September 22 – Lincoln Speedway – The Dirt Classic
After having a qualifier at Williams Grove, a week earlier the field should be stacked with teams from all over the country as they get geared up for the National Open.
Saturday, September 29 – Williams Grove Speedway – World of Outlaws National Open
One of the biggest races in all of Sprint Car racing right in our backyard.
Sunday, October 14 – Selinsgrove Speedway – Inaugural World Series of Dirt Racing
The 410 Sprint Car race on Sunday will cap off what should be an exciting and racing filled weekend for this inaugural event.
