The Latest: Records: St. Louis gunman was troublesome inmate
The Latest on the killings of two utility workers in St. Louis (all times local):
Missouri prison records show that a man who St. Louis police say fatally shot two utility workers before killing himself repeatedly was cited for misconduct while serving time on assault and drug trafficking convictions.
Police say 51-year-old Clinton Willis lived about one mile from where Laclede Gas employees Alex Boschert and William Froelich were gunned down Thursday before Willis turned the gun on himself. Authorities haven’t revealed a motive.
Willis’ criminal history dates back more than 20 years and includes convictions for drug trafficking, assault and armed criminal action. Court records show he was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 1997 and was paroled in 2008.
