CARS.COM — We're still doing this? Really? All right, all right. Here's the latest tease of the redesigned 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class from the folks in Stuttgart. We were this close to being correct with our prediction, too. Here's what we said about the previous, sand-obscured-G-Wagen teaser: "Following this trend, expect to see more bits of the iconic SUV partially obscured by mud, spray from a puddle and, ultimately, a very large boulder."
Turns out that all three of those things would appear in one teaser image, as the opulent off-roading cube kicks up some mud and water driving through a riverbed, surrounded by boulders. Mercedes-Benz likely had to combine these three things into one photo, as there wasn't enough time to release them individually before the G-Class debuts next week at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Further details beyond what we've already published remain elusive, but expect the rest of the information about the new G-Wagen to start flowing as the Detroit auto show kicks off. Cars.com, of course, will be on site to bring you all the new-model action straight from the exhibit floor — so check back often.
