13,000 2017 Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach Cars and SUVs: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 13,000 model-year 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 sedans and coupes; C300 4Matic sedans and coupes; S550, S550 4Matic, S550e and S600 sedans; GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic SUVs; Mercedes-AMG C43 sedans, coupes and convertibles; Mercedes-AMG C63 sedans and coupes; C63S sedans, coupes and convertibles; Mercedes-AMG S63 4Matic sedans; Mercedes-AMG S65 sedans; and Mercedes-Maybach S550 4Matic and S600 sedans
The Problem: The front seat seat belt pretensioners may not function properly, which may not adequately restrain occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of an injury.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the front seat belts for free.
What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying owners in May, and will send a second notification when parts become available.
